| I just bought a GS330S at a local pawnshop with a really nice softsided MBT case for $195!! What a great sounding guitar! I got a guitar stand for it and it changes the look of the whole room. It by itself is a work of art. Does anyone know how to tell how old the guitar is? This one looks brand new not a scratch on it! I put a light oil on it and the grain came up fantastic. I hope I do the guitar justice! |

Proud owner of a new EG330SC... now, I'm new to guitar, but this thing absolutely SINGS! I have read that the electronics are top notch, but I will add that they look cheesescent
All in all I'm stoked... best 400 I've spent in some time.

| Another new member here, but by no means a new Tak owner. My first was an F360 bought new in '81. This is now my son's guitar. I currently play a EF341sc, just purchased a couple of weeks ago. Very nice rig, used constantly since it's arrival. I play it in an acoustic duo, at least once a week. I also have a Martin 000c1e, a Taylor 615, and a Dobro 33H. However, the Tak seems to be the workhorse I expected it to be, at a fraction of what the others cost. It also records nicely, which I just heard this morning on a rough mix of a performance from a few weeks ago. Also, in the past, I have had other models of Takamine, and have always been impressed... |

I've got a small bodied G306 no electrics. The headstock is shapedlikethe Martin and even the logo looks like the Martin logo- is it one of the so called Martin lawsuit models?
I've been told it dates to 1984? serial number is 84081722- can anyone help with dates, history etc? I have'nt had it long but wanted it as soon as I picked it up. It has a few small varnish dings but hey, that's character lol
Regards

IT'S HERE!!!
My new EF400SC is the love of my life right now! God, I love a 12-string.
Everything about this sweet thing is almost identical to my '75 model... The body thickness and taper are the same, the "dreadnaught" body shape (except for the cutout) is the same, the nut width is identical, the neck thickness is identical, the "finger feel" is pure Tak. Why mess with perfection? It's my Old Girl with a boob job and 'way cool electronics.
What I don't understand is... for $1100 I did not get an adjustable bridge! What up with that? Hey, that's pretty sucky.
Attached pic shows the Old Man fondling the New Girl with the Old Girl in the background.
Helleshin, I can't figure out how to attach a JPG. You'll just have to trust me. |

| Hey all, new here. I have an EG540SC Red Stain. It's a really good guitar. It's a far cry better than my Ibanez perf. series. I've had it for about a year. |

I had one of those myself Java. Sold it to my sister, and its still a great guitar. Enjoy it. I do regret selling it every now and then... like now, of a sudden. |

| You had the red stain? I like it too, but I am drooling over a Taylor right now. Thinking of selling it. |

, It's now late September, I have put two sets of strings on my GS330S and I still love it. I really like the sound of the D'Addario EJ-16's on it. They give it a very woody, mellow sound. I have been playing every chance I get (around 6 - 10 hours a week) and am begining to be able to smoothly change from one chord to another with the more difficult chords. I am using the Fender DVD "Getting started with Acoustic Guitar". This is a great DVD and has helped out greatly. I hope soon to be able to play a couple songs but I'm not in a hurray. Please reply I would love to discuss more about this awsome guitar, and I wouldn't mind a few tips either!

| artman I have an EG540SC that I have had 4 months now. I have been playing for a couple of years and have the same DVD you are talking about. That DVD is excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone getting started. It is way better than any book or video that is available. In fact it worked better for me than the lessons I took. |

| Pinmonkey I am just starting to look into the other parts of the DVD. I don't have a great amount of Dexterity but I enjoy playing along with the practice tracks. I finally figured out that the little riffs he plays at the begining of each lesson is related to that lesson and fits in with the practice tracks. I especially like the one for the pentatonic scale. Do you have a favorite portion of the DVD? |
